Nano SIM is in Ukraine. At least nano SIM could be obtained in couple of Kyivstar customer centers. Not available as backup SIM yet. Only as a main (active) card.
iPhone 5 support 802.11 a/b/g/n/h. It has concurent dual band 2.4GHz/5GHz with 1:1/1:1 antennas. 40 MHz wide channels in 5 GHz band. And also uses Short Guard Interval.
Another nice document to read is ukrainian frequency plan. According to the document (version 05.09.2012) it is free to use indoor wi-fi devices with power < 100 mW. 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz:

Some screenshots of new iOS map application. No traffic info seen on map yet. Navigation is here, but Ukrainian streets names reading is absolutely terrible. And mistake in name of Ukrainian capital (Kyiv) is something very unexpected from Apple product.
